| Lines taken from a page of that composition book that I have just about filled: just a few jotted down lines
Tell me a melody of how far you've been...
Feel the light upon our eyes and live
Kept behind the mind with many Brought to sight with time but scarce Having graced I of now Just as the rain began
Here I sit, abide my time Writing once again
Live for the story. and listen for the crash
You know I know and know I see Just what in you, Makes me believe
I sit here only to revise-recollect All of which I have kept in mind
And yet all I can say: The rain fell today

You are a pin in a sea of needles. Just like every other,
you prick to the touch. This is both the greatest and saddest part about life.
| Action: A feat rarely employed by the general populous of societies, nations, world powers, and the lot. The
above mentioned statement instead, is to be edited such as to include:
a feat rarely employed by a populous unless there is a personally
benefiting outcome such as a monetary trophy. Peasants to royalty, the
underlying motive remains succinct.
Focusing
now on the "royalty" aspect of the issue, the decisions made by the
prior mentioned social class dictates the conditions in which the less
wealthy populous exists within. The ever popular organization
dominating the blame list of a profound number of citizens, being the
oil industry and the companies in which it consists of, is of the most
controlling of global economic and social progressions. The wealth of
oil and gas processing organizations is, by no means, discrete to
common knowledge. The vast impact, both environmentally and
politically, these organizations have on the world is also of no
surprise to a multitude of citizens populating the same earth in which
these companies indirectly impose themselves upon. Are
these decisions, of which are dictated by entities secluded from the
population's input, of too important a matter as to be removed from the
attention of the populous it affects so acutely? Should the word of a
rich man over rule that of a destitute one? Even more so if destitution
was wrought in the majority of the society? Whereas
the increasingly deepening hole oil companies in conjunction with
numerous other contributors have been deepening in the pursuit of
increasing profit, the nameless citizen has few outlets in which
his/her input is noted.
Social order innately obstructs the will of the financially lesser to impact the society itself in which it exists. A system against one's own being. A
system driving the lower class into the earth. On the note of earth,
digressing to the earlier subject of oil refineries, these more
powerful companies have left the world with highly important issues to
cope with as the bank account rejoices. Global
warming, an already taboo subject amongst those who aid in its
intensity, remains quite possibly the most impacting result of the
higher class pursuing its own agendas over the well being of the lower. By
now, the average citizen should at least have a vague understanding of
the repercussions on global warming and the ill future on its way. When
the levee breaks, who will take the brunt of the effects? Will
the shelters be relinquished to the poor while those who imposed this
future sustain the consequences of their actions? Did the prior
question require an answer? The importance of the answer is irrelevant
if one is consumed by the effects of a world gone awry.

| In a society such as today's, appearance outclasses
content. If a man speaks in a suit over a microphone, that man appears
official and thereby appears informed as well. The actual knowledge he
possesses is simply assumed to outclass one’s own. A man dressed in overalls
with a lisp; however: social fodder. Neither man can be judged to have a
guaranteed high IQ simply through observation. Nonetheless, the formally
dressed man stands upon a higher podium of which to convey ideals thus creating
the appearance of trustworthiness. This
guise of intelligence (be it truthful or not) is not limited to appearance
alone. Take these articles for example. They are written in a decent structure with
a diverse vocabulary. These attributes;
however, are of little relevance to my actual knowledge on subjects in the
articles below (and above).
People can be swayed by appearance;
be it physical or psychological. Taking
this into thought, it can be assumed that one doesn't have to be intellectual
to succeed in a venture where knowledge is mandatory. As long as the appearance of being educated is maintained, it
will provide one with the respect and trust of a truly informed person. This opinion; however, may be ill
founded. The knowledge I posses on this
subject may be questionable and thereby not of a genuine nature. It comes down to an individual’s own
decision. Am I correct or is my opinion
flawed? Take in the information
presented and come to a conclusion through one’s own reasoning.
Conscious thought prevents a
populous from simply absorbing information without question. Doubt, curiosity, distrust, and numerous
other attributes aid in maintaining this consciousness. If this ability to make decisions for
oneself is lost, then what is there to separate man from machine?
Machine: Given a task or an array of tasks to complete
independently or within a system of other machines. No thought is involved in these mundane tasks. Apply this thought
to the human work force; subtract the collective insight of the populous, and
the result resembles that of machines.
Remaining curious of the events occurring in the world and the
formulation of individual opinions upon these happenings is a necessity in this
complicated world of politics, money, illusion, and strife. Live life, ask questions, and make
decisions. But then again, do I really know what I am talking about?
